What is your role in the business? Owner/Manager
Why did you choose this endeavor? I chose this business due to the frustrations of seeing many beautiful muslimah's business websites being spoilt by the ads placed by the free host providers, often promoting things which are what we as muslims strive to stay away from insha'Allaah, also free hosts can be limiting in term's of creating your unique business identity because of the templates they have, so I wanted to offer a halal alternative and offer the sisters more design and development choices for their websites.
What was your biggest challenge getting started? My biggest challenge, and it still exists is convincing the sisters who use template based free hosts to give what I'm offering a try, it can be very daunting logging into your account and seeing all these new features, but with a bit of patience and imagination you can really create something very usable and unique.
What accomplishment are you most happy with? AmanahHosts.com has just upgraded its capabilities by moving and upgrading servers so we are now able to offer more affordable services in the near future.
Where would you like to see your company in five years? Definitely would like to employ staff, offer a full range of services like web conferencing and internet marketing tools. I would also like to extend my services to brothers insha'Allaah.
What advice would you give Muslim women looking to start a business? First and foremost always turn to Allaah ask for His help, make istikhaarah before any important decision. Definitely choose something you love or have a passion for otherwise you could end up having a business that you loose interest in or becomes a burden to you.
What networking opportunities do you offer Muslim businesses? We currently offer paid advertising space on our main website, we will be soon offering advertising opportunities on our sites that are hosted for free.
